Frescoes like these were found throughout Pompeii, including the one public brothel in town (where customers could presumably point to the position they liked best). Rumor has it that Fontana, the guy who re-discovered Pompeii in 1599, was so horrified by the erotic art that he reburied the frescoes in an attempt at archaeological censorship.
