We got REALLY excited when we saw this guy because we thought we’d stumbled upon a very rare Kiwi bird in the wild. A ridiculous number of photos were taken, movies were shot, backs were self-patted. And then later on we found out it was just a boring old common NZ woodhen called a “weka.” Alas.
