We Made It!

We’ll have many more details to share soon (the poor little internet here at L’Oasis Lodge in Arusha is slower than AOL dial-up circa 1995), but we wanted to let everyone know that Christi, Laura and I made it to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro yesterday!! Below is a photo of the three of us and our guides at the summit.

Congratulations! Wonderful accomplishment and great pic that captures the moment. BTW - I like how you clarify that you are at the true summit (Uhuru).

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What an accomplishment. Like Donna, I will sleep a lot better now that this part of your year is over.

While you were heading up to the top of Kilimanjaro, John and I were hiking around Gr. Smoky Mtn N.P. at 2,000 - 6,000 feet and bellyaching at how tough it was. Then, one of us would mention what you two were doing at that very same moment. That brought things into perspective and we would both just kind of feel embarassed and push on.

Congrats!!! You guys look great - way to summit and still look good.
